The opening match for the 2019 Rugby World Cup starts on Friday, September 20. On the same day, countries from all over the world competed for the William Webb Ellis Cup in Japan. In the opening stage, 20 teams will try to get into four groups, namely group A, B, C, and D. Each group contains five teams each, and only two teams can go to the knockout round. England will be in group C along with France, Argentina, the United States, and Tonga. England will also play four warm-up matches during the summer before the tournament.
